Reasons to Visit Cuzco this Spring

14. Travel anywhere by Taxi in Cuzco for less than $1. Considering it costs $2 just to open the door of a taxi in Boston, this is a pretty good deal. The drawback is anyone can be a taxi driver in Cusco, so each ride is exciting to say the least (Here's a Collectivo -it does not always come to a complete stop when dropping people off and you usually end up standing, but it only costs .60 soles in Cusco. There's always the chance you may have chickens under your feet too.)

13. There are festivals every weekend in June including Inti Raymi (festival of the Sun on June 24th - biggest in Peru).
12. Chance to eat Guinea Pig (Cuy) for less than $10.

11. Help keep Jackie and Tim sane by giving us someone else to talk to.
10. Come to Cusco, make a map, and become a millionare (the one legible map we have spans a 1 mile radius - after that your on your own - Amos, this one is for you.)
9. Hotel Walshenburg is open for business with free night stays from May through July
8. Flush the Toilet backwards and see the water spin the opposite direction for the first time.
7. For less than $2 roundtrip, spend a 45 minute bus ride with 50 of your closest amigos in one of the best open air markets and largest ruins in Peru (Pisac) .
6. Chance to play with the children of Inti.

5. You can bring us all the things we forgot. You better come soon, because that list keeps growing.
4. Trade the May rain in Boston for sun everyday (Despite weather.com saying showers in Cusco everyday, we have only seen sprinkles for less than 5 minutes since we've arrived)
3. Coca Tea (legend has it that it thins your blood and makes you feel light headed)
2. Go Salsa dancing with Jackie and give Tim a week off from coming up with excuses on why he can't go.
1. If this is where we write our blog, imagine what the rest of Peru must look like.
