Gap Adventures and the Planeterra Foundation

Here´s a video that the Planeterra Foundation created about Inti. Its a bit old and Inti is currently located in a different house, but many of the same children still attend including Alfredo. This video is not an accurate representation of Peruvian life or Cusquenan life for that matter, but it does show some of the struggles that these children face.

The Planeterra Foundation was developed by G.A.P Adventures, a Canadian adventure travel company that offers socially responsible tours worldwide.

GAP and the Planeterra foundation is a large supporter of Inti puchasing a stove, sending the children on fieldtrips in Cusco, and raising over $30K towards purchasing a permanent home. Their trips combine site seeing with volunteer work. This past week a group came through played with the kids, helped clean the entire building, and bought toys for the children.

Here's the volunteers and us helping clean out their garden.

Here we are playing Bingo with the children.

We have a winner . . .
